dear Mrs. Fitzroy, whatever Miss Diamond was or wasn't going to do, it's not 
going to happen now. The poor young woman is dead and it sounds as if it was 
not a nice death at all. Now, until we know a great deal more, it is only 
going to make things more difficult for you if you let your imagination run 
wild..." She took the cup of tea and held it up to Esme's mouth. "You need 
to think of yourself. I suspect that you haven't much practice with that."
