Warren turned away as Nola was being examined and
dressed; it was hard to tell if it was courtesy or
sqeamishness that caused him to do so. Instead, he
had his attention on the floor. He shook his head.
"How utterly peculiar," he said. "Miss Diamond... drug use,
you say? An abortion? I am very sorry to hear that..." He
looked in the direction of the other room. "I wonder what
our Mister Barowenski saw."
