"Oh, dear," Arabella said, and walked rather more quickly into the 
penthouse. Not wanting to alarm anyone, she looked around discreetly for 
Hodges, spying him serving drinks at the bar. She went over there and said, 
quietly but briskly, "Mr. Hodges, it seems as if Mrs. Evans and Miss 
Mauberly are trapped in the lift. I don't think they've been injured, but it 
is undoubtedly a disconcerting experience. Do you think you could find a way 
to release them?"
