At the issued command, it seemed that the tendrils exuded from Dot's program
became bi-directional- she could feel alien code rifling through her avatar.
While not hostile, it was also not altogether pleasant, as memories flitted
through her consciousness like pages being turned in the wind.  It was very
close to the cliché of 'your life flashing before your eyes'-  uncomfortably
close.

Then just as quickly as it had come, the presence withdrew, the cursor
blinking again in the silence.

Again the cursor winked at her from her screen, glaring almost balefully at
her.  But this time, in addition, there was an icon from her AI in the upper

As she pondered that point, her attention was drawn to the progress of
Asha's routine- it had apparently stalled, and the construct was becoming
more agitated...
