Dot was sure that utilizing her plantaxy would give her the needed boost to
be able to separate the woman from the cancer eating at her, but did she
dare despite Asha's earlier admonitions?  Even to save her life?

But, for Dot, it wasn't really a matter of daring.  She drew out her
plantaxy, figuring she'd have to run really soon.

Without anyone to stop her, Dot could be a remarkably brave, or foolish,
girl. 

Mandor was far from stopping her.  He was watching closely - clearly
intrigued to the point of being fascinated by her actions.

Suhuy sniffed the air, then frowned even further as the Plataxy came out. He
huddled down in his rags until only his black, marble eyes showed.
