"Interesting," murmured Mandor, watching Dot.  His attitude was the clinical
one of a top level heart surgeon watching a bright young registrar trying
out a new technique for removing gall stones.

The damage to Kayle was not extensive, but still she arched in pain as the
caress of Dot's abilities attended to her wounds.  The energy that Pretty
used had suffused her body, creating the 'dead spots' that appeared as
burns.  Whatever energy this was seemed to be averse to Dot's abilities-
almost as if they were opposite polarities- and as such, Dot was able to
shunt the malign energy from the woman's body.

Asha was a different story.  The energy in Asha's body was more aggressive-
the malignancy even seemed to be spreading, feeding off some sort of force
in the woman's body that was akin to the energy put forth by Pretty.  Though
not exactly the same, the two forces had enough affinity that it was
difficult to separate the two.  Tears of blood ran down Asha's angelic face
as her features warped themselves in a paroxysm brought on by the intense
pain caused by Dot's probing. 

Dot was sure that utilizing her plantaxy would give her the needed boost to
be able to separate the woman from the cancer eating at her, but did she
dare despite Asha's earlier admonitions?  Even to save her life?
